TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Dartmouth junior Ben True wrapped up his 2006 cross country season by finishing 59th in a field of 250 runners at the NCAA Championship Monday.
Competing at the LaVerne Gibson Championship Course at Indiana State, True (Yarmouth, Maine) turned in a time of 32:05.0 on the 10,000 meter course.
The two-time Heps champion, True earned All-America honors at the 2005 race with a 32nd place finish.
This year's winner was Josh Rohatinsky of BYU, whose time of 30:44.9 was about eight seconds ahead of the runner-up.
"Ben competed hard against some tough competitors and some even tougher conditions," said Dartmouth head coach Barry Harwick. "The course was extremely muddy."
