“I didn't think we played our best today, but I am happy that we got the win,” said Head Coach Angie Hind. “We are looking forward to what Monday (NCAA Selections) will bring.”
The Big Green, who has been in the national rankings for the past four weeks, expects to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after an impressive season during which it has also consistently been ranked first or second in the Northeast.
Both teams struggled to get on the board throughout the first half.

The Big Red caught a break in the 80th minute with the Big Green up 2-0. Cornell was awarded a controversial penalty kick after a Dartmouth player was called for a hand ball in box. Alison McKeown beat Big Green goalkeeper

Hind noted that Wijas played yet another tremendous game in midfield.
Webb played another solid game in goal, making five saves and only allowing the penalty goal. Cornell's Taylor Hendren made five stops as well.
The Big Green just missed out on an Ivy League title, as Columbia posted a 6-0-1 record this season, earning its first-ever Ancient Eight Championship.
