NO. 3 DUKE WINS BLUE SKY RESTAURANT GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP
Duke's Carrem Gay scored a game-high 22 points, leading the No. 3 Blue Devils to a convincing 71-43 victory over Boston University in Saturday's championship game of the Blue Sky Restaurant Group Classic.
The Terriers (8-5) were never able to threaten Duke (14-0) who raced out to a 30-8 lead at halftime. BU mustered only 10.5 percent in the opening 20 minutes.
Gay pulled down 10 rebounds on the night, going 9-of-12 from the floor. Also in double figures were Lindsey Harding with 17 points and Alison Bales with 12.
Duke was the national runner-up in 2006. For Boston University, Katie Meinhardt had 12 points.
