WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Strong finishes by junior Hayley Stevens (Orinda, Calif.) and sophomore Elizabeth Dupuy (Phoenix, Ariz.) pushed Dartmouth into ninth place among 18 schools competing at the William & Mary women's golf invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
Stevens (78-81--159) and Dupuy (81-78--159) both finished tied for 21st as Dartmouth scored 656. Columbia was tied for 10th with 659 and Penn was 13th with 678.
Toledo won the team championship with 602, while host William & Mary was the runner-up at 628.
Dartmouth freshman Tory Sheppard (Fishers, Ind.) was tied for 46th with 91-78--169. Other Big Green team scorers were freshman Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio), 86-89--175, and sophomore Libby Wegener (Shorewood, Minn.), 85-95--180.
Competing as individuals for Dartmouth were junior Annie Daher (Lafayette, Calif.), 88-88--176, and junior Ann Kapusta (Meadville, Pa.), 88-94--182.
The Big Green is back in action on April 14-15, hosting the Dartmouth Triangular on Cape Cod.
