Three Double Winners for Dartmouth Women's Track & Field
DURHAM, N.H. -- Seniors Mattie Chatterton-Richmond (Rochester, N.H.), Jamila Smith (Memphis, Tenn.) and Kelsey Wiegmann (Mill Valley, Calif.) won two events apiece as the Dartmouth women's track and field team competed at the UNH Invitational on Saturday.
Wiegmann broke the school record with a leap of 5-10 in the high jump and also won the javelin with 146-5. Both marks bettered the NCAA regional qualifying standard.
Smith topped the field in the hammer with 157-11 and the shot put with 45-6 1/2.
Chatterton-Richmond was first in the long jump with 18-0 1/4 and the 400 meter hurdles with 1:03.08.
Also victorious for the Big Green were sophomore Victoria Michelotti (Tampa, Fla.), 15.23 in the 100 meter hurdles; sophomore Micaela Carwell (Laconia, N.H.), 36-0 1/4 in the triple jump; and freshman Emily Daly (Hopkinton, Mass.), 143-6 in the discus.
Meanwhile, senior Melanie Schorr (Suffield, Conn.) competed at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. She turned in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 34:43.78 in the 10,000 meters.
