Women's Golf Fifth at Dartmouth Invitational
HANOVER, N.H. -- The Big Green women's golf team finished fifth of 17 teams competing Saturday and Sunday at the Dartmouth Invitational.
Playing at Hanover Country Club, Dartmouth scored 630 as Harvard ran away with the team title. The Crimson combined for 599, 21 shots ahead of runner-up Columbia.
Senior co-captain Annie Daher (Lafayette, Calif.) and sophomore Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio) were Dartmouth's top finishers as both tied for 12th place. Daher shot 78-77--155, while Strickler posted 75-80--155.
Rounding out the scoring for the Big Green were sophomore Tory Sheppard (Fishers, Ind.), 82-75--157; freshman Sunny Zhang (San Ramon, Calif.), 81-85--166; and senior co-captain Hayley Stevens (Orinda, Calif.), 85-82--167.
Competing as individuals for Dartmouth were junior Elizabeth Dupuy (Phoenix, Ariz.), 81-85--166, and senior Ann Kapusta (Meadville, Pa.), 80-88--168.
Dartmouth's next tournament is September 23-24 at Princeton.
