HANOVER, N.H. ? Cornell scored two second half goals to pull away as the Big Red defeated Dartmouth, 2-0, in the season finale.

After a scoreless first half, Cornell struck first, nine minutes into the second half as Catie De Stio broke into the circle and passed it over to Brenna Gulotta for the score to put the Big Red on top 1-0.

With 4:25 remaining in the game, Cornell added an insurance goal to put the Big Red up 2-0. Mandy Malzberg received a long pass from Gulotta and beat senior goaltender Ashley Heist at the top of the circle and found the open net for the score.

Dartmouth had its opportunities, but could not capitalize. The Big Green held a 15-9 advantage in total shots, but Dartmouth only had two shots on net. The Big Green also led Cornell with eight penalty corners, including six in the first half, to only three for the Big Red.

Dartmouth finished its season with a 6-11 overall record and 1-6 in the Ivy League. Cornell ends its season with an 8-5 record and 5-2 in the Ivy League.

At the start of the game, the Big Green honored its five seniors. The seniors included Lizzie Bildner, Katy Hagy, Ashley Heist, co-captain Megan Strout and co-captain Whitney Waugh.
