Philadelphia - The Dartmouth men's tennis team took a 6-1 loss at the hands of Penn in Ivy League action on Saturday.
Dartmouth falls to 16-6 (1-3 Ivy) with the setback.
In doubles play, Penn jumped out to 4-0 leads in both the No. 1 and No. 2 matches before Dartmouth was able to get on the board and the Green was just not able to catch them.
The Dartmouth No. 3 team of Justin Tzou and Andy Kim, paired for the first time this season, proved a bright spot for Head Coach Chuck Kinyon. The duo went up a break early and finished with a strong 8-5 win for the Big Green.
In singles, Ari Gayer was the loan winner as he took down Penn's No. 5 player in straight sets. The Quakers managed to win all of the other singles matches in straight sets.
The next Dartmouth match is Friday, April 20 at Brown followed by a home date with Yale on Sunday at noon.
