HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Dartmouth sophomore Sunny Zhang (San Ramon, Calif.) improved at the Lady Herd Fall Classic Tuesday, finishing 12th in the 54-hole tournament hosted by Marshall.
Zhang fired a five-over par 77 over the final 18 holes. Added to her earlier scores of 85 and 81, Zhang posted a 243 total, as the Big Green was sixth among eight schools.
Dartmouth combined for 1022. James Madison won with 939, followed by Marshall with 959.
Other top finishers for the Big Green included junior Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio), tied for 20th with 251, and freshman Katie Gulemi (Fairfield, Conn.), 23rd with 256.
Dartmouth returns home this week, hosting its own invitational at Hanover Country Club on Saturday and Sunday, September 15-16.
