HANOVER, N.H. - After one day of action at the Dartmouth women's invitational, the Big Green golfers are in fifth place in the field of 14 schools.
Dartmouth combined for an 18-hole total of 331, with Harvard holding a commanding 23 shot lead at 302. Brown and Sacred Heart are tied for second at 325.
Sophomore Sunny Zhang (San Ramon, Calif.) was low for Dartmouth once again, starting the tournament with an 80. Hayley Milbourn of Amherst fired a one-under par 71 for the first round lead, two ahead of Lucie Sarochova of Central Connecticut.
The start of the tournament was delayed by several hours when heavy rain hit the Hanover area. The final 18 is scheduled for completion on Sunday.
