CHATTANOOGA, Tn. - The Dartmouth softball team concluded the final day of the Hospitality House Classic at the Tennessee-Martin by dropping its final two games. The Big Green lost the first game of the day, 3-1 to Indiana State before before losing big to Ball State, 15-1.
Audrey Kolodziej (Morton Grove, Ill.) went 2-for-3 in the game against Indiana State as Amy McLuskie (Sammamish, Wash.) scored the only run for Dartmouth. Christy Autin (Harwood Heights, Ill.) and Alyssa Parker (Spring Valley, Calif.) also had hits. Stephanie Trudeau (Spokane, Wash.) was the losing pitcher, going four innings with three earned runs and three strikeouts.
Against Ball State in the nightcap the Big Green had held the Cardinals to five runs before giving up 10 in the final inning of the contest. Leigha Clarkson (Perris, Calif.) led her squad with two hits while Autin and Kolodziej each had singles.
Angela Megaw (Bomoseen, Vt.) went five innings for Dartmouth with three earned runs and six strikeouts. Freshman Devin Lindsay (Whittier, Calif.) came on in relief.
The Big Green is off until its spring trip when Dartmouth travels to Florida. The Big Green will play six games in Florida beginning at the University of South Florida Speedline Classic before heading to Stony Brook University for a two-day tournament on the way back to Hanover.
