ITHACA, N.Y. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team fought hard, but couldn't come away with a win, falling 4-3 when it took on Cornell today at the Reis Tennis Center.
Although the ever-strong doubles team of
Mark Brodie (Greensboro, N.C.) and
Jeffrey Schechtman (Highland Park, Ill.) started the match off with a win at No. 1 doubles, the Big Green dropped the next two doubles sets to give Cornell the point.
In singles, Brodie and Schechtman were able to again down their respective opponents, as was sophomore
Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.). However, the Big Red won at numbers two, five, and six to take the match. At the No. 2 spot,
Daniel Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) pushed his opponent to three sets, but lost the third 6-2.
The Big Green will play at home next Friday, April 11, when it takes on Princeton at 3:00 pm.
