NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- A day after canceling Friday's practice round due to rain, play was
suspended Saturday at the Yale Women's Intercollegiate due to rain and
wet conditions. Players were unable to finish their rounds as flooded
greens caused balls to spray up water as they struggled
towards the hole. Weather permitting, play will resume Sunday at 9 a.m.
Officials will decide in the morning whether Saturday's round is
finished or if a new 18-hole round will be played. In either case, the
tournament has been shortened to an 18-hole tournament.
