End of the Road — Trip
• This is the third of three straight contests away from Leede Arena for the Green, their most true road games to start a season in 20 years.
• Last time out Dartmouth was defeated at George Mason, 60-44, although the Big Green trailed by just two points with under 14 minutes to play.
• Sophomore David Rufful was the lone Dartmouth player in double figures with 13 points while hitting a career-high three trifectas.
• The 44 points were the fewest for the Big Green since putting up just 41 in consecutive games out in California last year against Air Force and UC Davis.
• Dartmouth was woeful from the free throw line against the Patriots, converting just 6 of 17 (.353) from the charity stripe, its second lowest percentage in the last five seasons (.273 vs. Army last year).
• Freshman center Matt LaBove came up big off the bench with nine rebounds and three blocked shots as the Big Green held George Mason to just 40.4 percent from the floor.
• Senior Robby Pride got away with a career-high four steals, while sophomore Josh Riddle had three of his own, also a personal best.
Series vs. Furman
• This is just the third meeting between the two schools on the hardwood, all coming this decade. Dartmouth has won both games — 63-59 in the championship game of the Furman Holiday Classic on Dec. 29, 2002, and 68-63 last year in Hanover.
• The Big Green have only had six games ever against current Southern Conference schools with a 4-2 record.
Scouting the Paladins
• Furman has won both its games so far, beating Division III Lees-McRae, 88-49, to start the year before holding off Presbyterian, 68-64.
• Junior Amu Saaka, a transfer from South Florida, has put up 19 points per game, 29 coming against Presbyterian as he connected on 4-of-6 three-pointers. The 6-6 forward is also averaging nine boards per contest.
• The Paladins have two guards — Jordan Miller and Justin Dehm — that have hit 6-of-15 from beyond the arc. Miller scored 23 points in the season opener.
• Furman has picked up nine steals in each game, with Dehm leading the squad with four pilfers.
• Down on the blocks, Bryson Barnes has five blocks in the two games.
• After hitting 13 triples against Lees-McRae, the Paladins managed just 7-of-21 from downtown versus the Blue Hose. Saaka had 11 field goals in the game, while the rest of the team equaled his total, shooting just 28.9 percent without him.
