Lauren Strickler (Akron, Ohio) continued to pace the Dartmouth women's golf team after the second day of the 2009 Ivy Women's Championship.
Strickler cut two strokes off of her first-round score of 83 to head into the clubhouse tied for 22nd overall with a two-day total of 164.
Freshman
Marietta Smith (Mt. Prospect, Ill.) shot an 83 on the day, six strokes better than her first round 89, and is currently tied for 29th in the tournament.
Senior
Tory Sheppard (Fishers, Ind.) has a two-day score of 175 (87-88). Katie Gulemi (Fairfield, Conn.) and
Kathleen Quirk (Kansas City, Mo.) round out the Big Green squad with scores of 181 (93-88) and 185 (93-92), respectively.
Harvard, which had a two-stroke lead after round one, extended its lead to eight strokes over Yale, 601 (306-295) to 609 (308-301).
Susannah Aboff of Princeton continues to lead after 36 holes. Her score of 147 (72-75) leads her teammate Marlowe Boukis (77-72) by two shots.
The third and final round will begin at 7:30 am.
