NEW HAVEN, Conn. — At the end of the first two rounds of the Yale Women's Fall Golf Intercollegiate, the Dartmouth Big Green are in ninth place out of 13 teams after carding a 333-337—670 at the Yale Golf Course on Saturday. Junior captain Katie Gulemi and freshman Colleen Carroll each shot 20-over par with identical 80-82—162 scores, tying them for 34th on the first day of play.
Joining the Big Green duo were sophomore Heather Roland who carded a 167 (+25), fellow sophomore Marietta Smith in 58th place with a 179 and freshman Emily Hyman tied for 64th with a 183.
Ivy League foe Penn led the tournament after the first round by 10 strokes, but Harvard rallied to take a nine-stroke lead thanks to a team score of 299 in the second round, the lowest of the day. The Quakers will start tomorrow in second with Boston College two strokes behind them. Host Yale is 16 strokes off the pace in fourth place.
