Maintaining Some Momentum
• The Big Green hope the emotion of a thrilling last-second victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) on Monday continues into a rematch with Harvard as Dartmouth attempts to avenge its 76-47 loss in Cambridge two weeks ago.
• Sophomore David Rufful drove the lane for a conventional three-point play with 0.9 seconds on the clock, lifting the Green to a 65-64 triumph over St. Francis. Rufful finished the game with 16 points.
• But senior Robby Pride did the heavy offensive lifting, scoring a career-high 21 points, hitting 6-of-7 — including a trio of three-pointers — while going 6-of-6 at the line. He is the first Dartmouth player to score 20 in a game this year.
• Dartmouth would like nothing more than another one-point win. The last three games played in Leede Arena have been decided by a single point — the women beat both Harvard and New Hampshire by one in the last week as well.
• The closest matches to that three-game stretch came in 2005 when the men won three straight home games by a total of five points, and the men and women won consecutive one-point games on Feb. 1 and 7, 1997.
• Leede Arena has been generally kind of late to the Big Green men as they have won three of their last four in the building.
Series vs. Harvard
• Dartmouth took it on the chin two weeks ago at Harvard in the Ivy opener for both teams, dropping a 76-47 contest.
• Despite the loss, Dartmouth has a definitive advantage all-time against the Crimson with a 94-75 record, splitting the two games last year.
• At Leede Arena, the Big Green have a 10-12 mark against Harvard, winning three of the last five in the building.
• The win at Lavietes last year ended a nine-game losing streak for the Green at the venue. Dartmouth is 11-17 in the building.
Scouting the Crimson
• Picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll, Harvard proved itself in non-conference play with victories over William & Mary, Boston College and George Washington. But the Crimson may be a bit rusty since they haven't played since the win over the Big Green two weeks ago.
• The Crimson's three losses have come against two nationally ranked schools — Georgetown and UConn — and a vastly improved Army squad, all on the road, leaving them with an RPI of 51.
• Senior guard Jeremy Lin has been in the national spotlight with his performances against UConn (33 points) and Boston College (25). Lin has led the Crimson in scoring in 11 of their 15 games and averages 17.0 per contest.
• Keith Wright, who scored a career-high 22 points against the Big Green in the first meeting, leads the team in rebounding at 5.1 per game.
• Entering this week, Harvard was fifth in the country in free throw shooting and is currently converting foul shots at a 76.8 percent clip.
• The Crimson are also shooting 49.5 percent from the floor, ranking 10th in the nation.
• Three-pointers are likely to be scarce as both teams are among the top 35 in the country in three-point percentage defense.
Graupe Gets First Win
Four days after being officially named the Dartmouth interim head coach, Mark Graupe guided the Big Green to a thrilling 65-64 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.). After building an early 14-point lead in the first half, the Green trailed for a majority of the second stanza. Dartmouth still trailed by four with 15 seconds left, but a Robby Pride three-pointer with 10 seconds left and a David Rufful three-point play with less than a second on the clock lifted the Big Green to the exhilarating win.
One-Point Wonder
The 65-64 triumph over St. Francis (N.Y.) was the first one-point victory for the Big Green in over two years, since a 76-75 win against Vermont on Nov. 27, 2007. It was just the 11th one-point win for Dartmouth in Leede Arena since the facility opened for play 22 years ago. But the last three games played on the court have all been one-point Dartmouth victories — the women have won their last two home games by a single point as well. The only other time the two teams had combined for even two consecutive one-point wins in Leede Arena was in February of 1997 when the men beat Brown, 52-51, then the women followed with a 62-61 win over Princeton six days later.

Pride Puts Up the Points
Senior captain Robby Pride responded to the coaching change by lighting up the scoreboard against St. Francis (N.Y.) to the tune of a career-high 21 points, hitting all but one shot all night. Not only did he can 6-of-7 from the floor (3-of-3 from beyond the arc), but also was a perfect 6-of-6 at the foul line, the most free throws he's ever sunk in a college game. To top it off, Pride picked up his fifth foul right after scoring his final three points, getting disqualified for the first time in his career.
Rufful Rides to the Rescue
Certainly people will remember the conventional three-point play pulled off by sophomore David Rufful with less than a second on the clock to beat St. Francis (N.Y.) by one, 65-64. But they should also remember a few other of his 16 points in the game, like his buzzer-beating 27-footer before the half, and his two free throws with 56 seconds to play to cut the deficit to two points. He and Robby Pride split the 14 Big Green points between them evenly during the final three minutes.
