HANOVER, N.H. - Princeton remained undefeated on the season with a victory over the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team today.
Princeton won, 181-119 over Dartmouth, which fell to 1-8, 0-6 Ivy.
Dartmouth swept first through third in the 200 butterfly, led by freshman Albert Roth (Aurora, Ill.) in first in 1:55.94, with One June Chang (Great Neck, N.Y.) second in 1:56.14 and Jonathan Panzl (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) third in 1:58.31. Chang was the top swimmer in the 200 breaststroke for Dartmouth in a time of 2:15.52. Roth took second in the 100 butterfly in 51.56.
Sophomore Michael Ahern (Old Westbury, N.Y.) had a great day, winning both the 100 backstroke in a time of 51.90 and the 200 backstroke in a season-best time of 1:54.40. Roth and Marco Chu (Newton, Mass.) took second (4:06.84) and third (4:15.79), respectively in the 400 individual medley for the Big Green.
Ben Reasons (Naperville, Ill.) took second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.43, followed by teammate Jack Dreissen (Ridgefield, Conn.) in third in 1:01.77. Chu took third for the Big Green in the 100 freestyle in 48.38 while John Hill (Erie, Pa.) was the Big Green's fastest swimmer in the 200 free, taking fourth in 1:45.06.
Mikey Brown (Newton, Mass.) was the top Dartmouth diver in the three meter with a score of 319.50 for second place while Chris Plante (Valrico, Fla.) took third in the one meter, scoring 262.27.
Dartmouth took second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:35.69 by Ahern, Reasons, Will Derdeyn (St. Louis, Mo.) and Zach Doherty (Pelham, N.Y.).
Dartmouth heads to Maine next weekend to face Boston College and host Maine on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 29-30.
