HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team continued to have success in its first weekend of the 2010 season with a 5-2 win over Temple to steal its third match in two days.
Led by co captain Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) and junior doubles partner Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas), the Big Green swept the doubles matches to win the team point.
Junior Eric Schlobohm (Moraga, Calif.) and freshman Kevin Cox (Anaheim, Calif.) stepped in at the No. 2 doubles spot and had an impressive 8-1 win.
In singles, sophomore Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) played at No. 1 for the first time in his career and came away with a great three-setter against a tough opponent in Temple's Filip Rams. Senior Dan Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.), freshman Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.) and Roby all won their matches in straight sets.
The next match for Dartmouth will be against Army next Saturday in West Point, N.Y.
