A corner by Dartmouth put the ball in front of the goal as a scrum ensued and Keat was able to get his foot down, arcing the ball towards the far post for the score.
The goal gave Dartmouth momentum as the Big Green tied the contest at 1-1 midway through the second half.
Keat scored 13 minutes after Bayo Adafin recorded the first goal of the contest to give Columbia a 1-0 lead. Henning Sauerbier tallied the game winner in the 88th minute after receiving a cross from Adafin in front to put the ball past Dartmouth goalie Lyman Missimer (The Woodlands, Texas).
Immediately before the Lions scored the go-ahead goal, Maarten van Ess (Marlborough, Mass.) had his header shot saved by Alexander Aurrichio as Dartmouth outshot the Lions, 7-5 in the second half but was unable to find an answer for a determined home team that was hungry for its first league victory.
Columbia (5-7-1, 1-3 Ivy) extended its unbeaten streak against Dartmouth (6-5-1, 1-3 Ivy) as the Lions have won the last two meetings.
The two sides had 10 shots apiece for the game but the Big Green held the advantage in corner kicks, 6-4. Missimer finished with one save on the day while Aurrichio had four.
Dartmouth is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at Boston College.
