WEYMOUTH, Mass. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team won the doubles point, but could not secure four of the six singles matches as Boston College defeated the Big Green by a 4-3 score.

Juniors Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) brought Dartmouth even after dropping the first double match with an 8-6 win. sophomore Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) and Alex DeChatellus (Tiburon, Calif.) brought home the doubles team point with a come-from-behind win at the No. 3 position by a score of 8-6.

Up 1-0, the Big Green dropped behind 2-1 as Dan Freeman (Chatworth, Calif.) and Mike Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) dropped their matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Freshman Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.) got Dartmouth back to even with a straight set victory at No. 5, but the Big Green dropped behind once again with the 7-6. 6-2 loss by Greif at the third spot. This left the match up to Roby and Ho. Both were forced into three-set marathon matches. Unfortunately, Roby's opponent got hot in the tie breaker bringing the fourth and deciding point to the Eagles just about the time that Ho secured his match 6-2 in the third set.

Dartmouth will be back in action on March 7 as the Big Green host Fairleigh Dickinson at 11 a.m. at the Boss Tennis Center.
