Men's Tennis
vs Dartmouth Invite #1

NEW YORK, NY - The Dartmouth men's tennis team came up short in its bid to knock off Ivy-leading Columbia today in New York City as the Big Green fell 6-1.
Great play by junior doubles tandem of Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) once again helped put Dartmouth in position to win the point but it was not to be as senior Dan Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) and sophomore Mike Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) dropped a hard fought 6-8 match. Even at the No. 3 spot, freshman Alex de Chatellus (Tiburon, Calif.) and sophomore Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) were 5-5 before dropping the next 3 games.
In singles, Ho took care of the in his 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 spot, but that was going to be all the Big Green could come up with in the win column. Freeman played rival John Wong at the top spot to a standoff until falling in the third set.
Next week the Big Green will play host to Penn and Princeton at the Boss Tennis Center.
