HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team improved their record to 3-1 with a 7-0 victory
over Sacred Heart on Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green played a very focused match and managed to
sweep the singles and doubles.
In the doubles' matches, the combo of senior
Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and senior
Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) were the standouts, winning their first doubles match, 8-2. In singles, five of the six Dartmouth athletes won in straight sets, including junior
Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.), sophomore
Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.), Roby, junior
Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) and Greif. Freshman
Cameron Ghorbani (Lexington, Mass.) dropped the second set, but pulled out the third to win his match.
The Big Green are back in action in
two weeks at the ECAC championships being held at Harvard. The action begins on Friday, Feb. 18, and will continue through the finals on
Monday, Feb 21. The tournament will feature all of the Ivy League teams along with Boston College, Binghamton and St Johns.
