HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team played some of its best tennis of the year on Sunday in a 4-3 win over Yale. It improved the Big Green to 13-6 overall and 4-2 in the Ivy League.
Dartmouth secured the doubles point with solid wins at second and third doubles. The Big Green extended their lead with singles wins by freshman Brandon DeBot (Stevens Point, Wis.) and senior Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) at fifth and sixth singles to gain a 3-0 lead. Yale earned one point back with a win at fourth singles, but junior Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) clinched the victory with a huge win at first singles over first team All-Ivy League player John Huang.
With the match already in hand,
senior Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.) battled hard and had the crowd roaring
with their exciting play but lost at second and third singles.
