ITHACA, N.Y. - The Dartmouth women's crew team was swept by the Cornell on Saturday, including a win for the varsity eight to take the Parents' Cup.

The 2000-meter races were contested on the Cayuga Inlet, with a variable stiff headwind.

Cornell won the Parents Cup with a seven-second victory in the varsity eight, winning in a time of 6:54.2 ahead of Dartmouth in 7:01.8. The Big Red took a close win in the second varsity eight as well in 6:59.9 with the Big Green second in 7:01.3.

Buffalo joined the pair for the third varsity eight race, which Cornell won in a time of 7:59.4 with Dartmouth second in 8:18.4 and Buffalo third in 8:47.2.

The teams also raced two varsity four races, with Cornell winning the first varsity race in 8:14.9 ahead of Dartmouth in 8:22.2 and the Big Red also taking the second varsity trace in convincing fashion, winning in 8:15.3. Dartmouth was second in 8:57.5.

Dartmouth is not back in action until May 15 for the Eastern Sprints in Cherry Hill, N.J.
