October 2012 - CHAD 1/2 MARATHON

I am Grace Best, class of 2013, and I am the new Jaeger Civic Intern
for the 2012-2013 school year! I am anxious to get the ball rolling
in this position with the athletic department and I hope to keep you
all up to date on your community service options!
This fall the big project that is in the process is contributing our
time to the children at the CHaD Half Marathon on Sunday, October
21st. I have been working closely beside Jeff Hastings and Anne Hudak
in order to make this all possible for the Dartmouth Varsity teams
that would like to give back to all of our supporters! It looks like
the teams that will be in attendance on this day are the Men and
Women's Soccer team, the Dartmouth Football team, Men's Baseball, and
the Dartmouth Ski Team! I think it will be a great turn out and our
scheduled time to be with the kids is from 10:30-11:30 am. 10-10:30
will be a meet and greet and autograph session for the kids to get to
see some of the great athletes that they watch every weekend! From
11-11:30 each team will be holding a "clinic" to be able to show the
kids some cool and interesting drill that displays our sport!
Come out and show your support by running, walking, talking with the
kids, or anything you can do to hive back to CHaD! Look forward to
seeing all your smiling faces soon!
