HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's and women's outdoor track teams will finally have a complete team this weekend when taking to the track at Princeton for the Sam Howell Memorial Invitational.
The meet will be held at William Weever Stadium beginning Friday afternoon and run through Saturday evening.
Though it will be the third weekend of competition for the Big Green outdoor teams, neither carried a full load during the two meets in the Carolinas over Spring Break. Even some of the student-athletes who made the trips to South Carolina, High Point and Coastal Carolina two weeks ago did not compete, so this weekend in New Jersey will be the first time in 2012 that both teams in their entirety will see action.
Friday will see Dartmouth get started with the throwers and distance runners before making way for the rest of the team to compete all day Saturday.
"This is a good meet to see other Ivy League competition," women's head coach Sandy Ford-Centonze said. "We get to see where we are at this point in the spring in relation to other teams in our league in not such a harsh environment leading up to Heps at the end of the month."
Nearly 50 teams will be competing at the Sam Howell Memorial Invitational, including seven of the eight Ivy League programs with the exception of Brown.
