The Dartmouth women's track & field team split up over two meets Saturday with a majority going to the Wildcat Invitational at UNH and several others traveling to George Mason's Spring Invitational.
In Durham against the Wildcats, Black Bears of Maine and Bowdoin, the Big Green finished second to the hosts (165 points) with 139 points despite nine first-place finishes.
Anna Kikut won the 200m (25.13), while also taking second in the 100m (12.37). Freshman Aliyah Gallup took the top spot in the 400m with the lone sub-minute time (58.36) with classmate Maria Jarostchuk claiming second (1:00.99).
Senior Arianna Vailas was first in the 800m (2:10.67), leading a large contingent of Dartmouth runners. In all, the Big Green had six of the top finishers in the event, picking up 16 points in the process.
The 1500m saw Sarah Delozier take first (4:38.27), only to be immediately followed by Reid Watson (4:38.81) and Sarah Bennett (4:40.66). The 5000m also had Dartmouth claim the top three spots as Claudia Pham (17:23.56) was dominant to take first with Ashley Ulrich (18:22.89) and Erin McConnell (18:34.87) crossing next.
Stephanie Brown's 11-2.50/3.42m on her first attempt at the height helped the sophomore take first place overall. Lauren Ready also was the top competitor in the triple jump with a mark of 37-8.8.75/11.50m (+4.2).
In the shot put, Emmaline Berg (46-11.0/14.30m) and Janae Dunchack (39-04.0/11.99m) were first and second, respectively. Berg was also second in the discus (139-09.0/42.59m), behind only fellow senior Corinne Kominkiewicz (142-04.0/43.38m).
In Fairfax at George Mason, senior Megan Krumpoch claimed third in the 400m hurdles with a 59.18, the second-best finish by a collegiate runner in the event. Meggie Donovan was ninth (2:06.50).
Elizabeth Markowitz claimed eighth (4:36.01) in the 1500m, while Jennifer Meech was ninth (56.41) in the 400m and 16th (24.89) in the 200m.
Overall, Dartmouth was 11th in the standings with 27 points.
