D'Agostino and Giordano Run 5000m Elite Race at Mt. Sac Relays

WALNUT, Calif. – Dartmouth's Abbey D'Agostino and Dana Giordano ran in the women's 5000m elite invite race Friday evening at the 2014 Mt. Sac Relays held inside Hilmer Stadium.
D'Agostino finished third overall and less than a second behind the top two runners — both pros — in the high-level race at that distance. The top collegiate finisher in a field of more than 30, D'Agostino posted a time of 15:30.93.
Giordano was 16th overall with a 15:53.96, good enough to be the eighth collegiate woman to cross the line in a race that was split between those from NCAA programs and others from professional teams and clubs.
The rest of the women's team will compete today in New Haven at the Yale Invitational.
