ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Dartmouth women's golf team placed third at the Chesapeake Bay Invitational at the Naval Academy Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. The Big Green sat in third after the first two rounds on Saturday, but a team-best 306 in the final 18 holes kept the team level.
Towson and Penn tied for the team lead with matching scores of 922 (+58), but Towson won a sudden-death team playoff after just one hole. The 922s are new Naval Academy Golf Club course records for a three-round women's college golf tournament.
Penn's Isabella Rahm was the top-medalist shooting a 219 (75-71-73; +3). Krissy Unger finished second at six-over par 222.
Sophomore Jamie Susanin shot Dartmouth's low score with a 234 (80-78-76; +18). Junior Jane Lee was the next top finisher for the Big Green, tying for ninth place and carded a 236 (+20). Freshman Radi Sauro also tied for ninth shooting a 236 (+20).
Freshman Isabelle Kane dropped eight positions and finished tied for 21st, shooting a 239 (+23)
Sauro and Kane led the Big Green with six birdies each. Susanin finished with 34 pars and Lee had 30.
Dartmouth will compete at the Yale Intercollegiate next weekend.
