SEASIDE, CALIF. — The Dartmouth women's golf team completed its first event of the spring season and placed sixth at the CSUMB Women's Otter Invitational. The Big Green wrapped up the 36 hole event at the par-72 5,810-yard Blackhorse Golf Course on Tuesday.
NCAA DII Nova Southern won the event shooting +31-par as a team. Dallas Baptist came in second shooting 10 strokes ahead of the Sharks at 41-over par.
Mailen Domec Chantry from Nova Southern won the individual event shooting a four-over 148 and carded a pair of 74s over the two-day event.
Senior Jane Lee finished tied for ninth and shot an 80 in the second round and a total of 155 (+11). Lee recorded three birdies and eleven bogeys in her final round.
Freshman Isabelle Kane carded a 4-over par 76, classmate Radi Sauro shot a 79, junior Lily Morrison carded an 83 and freshman Jessica Kittelberger, who played as an independent, shot an 86.
The Big Green will compete at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga April 6-7.
