PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Dartmouth women's golf team finished the 36-hole Brown Bear Invitational on Monday at the par-71 Metacomet Country Club and placed ninth with a score of 630 (315-315). Yale won the event and shot a team-low 294 in the second round for a 589 overall score.
Freshman Isabelle Kane had the best day for the Big Green and improved eight strokes from her first-round score of 84. She finished tied for 42nd with a 160.
Senior Jane Lee added a few strokes to her card (79) and finished tied for 20th with a 153. Freshman Jessica Kittelberger lowered her score by one stroke and shot a 161 for 48th place. Sophomore Jamie Susanin and junior Lily Morrison finished tied for 53rd and 56th, respectively, with scores of 162 and 164.
Sophomore Tara Simmons played as an individual and joined Kittelberger in 48th.
Boston University's Adela Cejnarova defeated Yale's Elisabeth Bernabe in a one-hole playoff for medalist.
The Big Green will square off with Brown in a dual match next weekend in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
