Women's 4x1500M Relay Shines in Second Day of Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - After starting things off Thursday in the City of Brotherly Love, the Dartmouth women's track & field team continued its weekend at the Penn Relays on Friday.
In just three events on the day at historic Franklin Field, the Big Green's top performance came from the quartet of Elizabeth Markowitz, Helen Schlachtenhaufen, Reid Watson and Dana Giordano in the 4x1500m relay.
Running in the Championship of America Invitational section, Dartmouth finished fourth in 18:00.22, behind only Stanford, North Carolina and Georgetown.
Away from the track, Kaitlin Whitehorn was sixth in the championship section of the high jump, clearing 5-8.5/1.74m on her first attempt at the height. In the triple jump, Molly Shapiro was 33rd with a 37-10.75/11.55m to her credit.
