CHATANOOGA, Tenn. — The Dartmouth women's golf team finished the Chattanooga Classic in seventh place carding an 84-over 948 on Tuesday at the Par-72 6,070-yard Council Fire Golf Club.
In the final round, Dartmouth shot a 316, but a strong performance by host Chattanooga gave the Mocs the 5 over par 293 for the 15-stroke win over Central Arkansas (902). Western Kentucky was third at 915.
Vanderbilt's Morgan Ransom won medalist at 2-under (214). She won by three over Jacksonville State's Melania Bajo Geijo who closed strong with a 3-under 69 for her 1-over 217.
Freshman Isabelle Kane finished tied for ninth and hit the ball well but had a tough time on the green and shot a 224. Freshmen Jessica Kittelberger, Radi Sauro and senior Jane Lee all finished tied for 42nd with a 242. Junior Lily Morrison rounded out the Big Green card with a 258 on the day and scored an eagle.
The Big Green will head back to the Northeast and will compete in the Brown Invitational next Sunday and Monday at the Metacomet Country Club in Providence.
