vs Dartmouth Invite #1
Dartmouth College

Day Two

PRINCETON, N.J. – On day two of Princeton's Ivy Plus Tournament on Saturday, the Dartmouth men's tennis team won three singles matches and two doubles matches.
“I am really pleased with our ability to shake off adversity and find ways to turn matches around,” assistant coach Tom Boysen said. “For the second time this weekend, we were undefeated in three-set matches, which puts us at 11-0 for the tournament. It has become the standard and the expectation of the players in our program to win matches after losing the first set. That bodes well for this season and beyond."
In the round of 16, junior Diego Pedraza and freshman Joey Haig had an 8-3 win over Harvard's Conor Haughey and Kelvin Lam. Later on that day, the Big Green duo defeated Jason Kros and George Cartledge of Virginia Tech by the same score.
Haig continued his undefeated streak by taking down Penn State's Ben Lieb, 2-6, 6-3, (10-6). Sophomore Ciro Riccardi dropped his first set to Harvard's Nicky Hu, 2-6, but picked up a 6-1 victory in the second and took the match when his opponent retired. Classmate Aman Agarwal defeated Fedor Andrienko of Yale in a tiebreaker, winning 6-4, 5-7, (10-8).
On the final day of the tournament on Sunday, Riccardi will play in the finals of the trop draw in singles, while Pedraza and Haig will play in the doubles semifinals.
