HOWEY IN THE HILLS, Fla. – The Dartmouth women's golf team currently sits in ninth place after the second round of the Bearcat Spring Classic, with a combined score of 644, (+68) at the par 72 course in Florida.
The host school, Cincinnati sits atop the leaderboard at +50 with a combined score of 626. Yesterday's leader Akron, is currently in second place at 629, (+53), while Jacksonville rounds out the top three at 631 (+55).
The Big Green shot a 318 as a team, eight strokes better than their previous round's score of 326.
Sophomore Jessica Kittelberger was the top finisher for Dartmouth, shooting a team-best 36 on the front nine, while shooting a 41 on the back nine to finish five over par on the afternoon. Her round was highlighted by birdies on holes four and eight.
Freshman Julia Calbi and sophomore Radi Sauro each shot a 78 to finish six over. Sauro found success on the back nine with a birdie on 10, while Calbi birdied 15 which is a par three.
Catharine Roddy and Lily Morrison also turned in strong rounds on the links as each shot an 82 through 18 holes.
The final round of the Bearcat Spring Classic will take place tomorrow with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
