Dartmouth Women Finish Second at Tufts Snowflake Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Dartmouth women's track & field team took second at the 2016 Snowflake Classic hosted by Tufts on Saturday.
Competing at Ellis Oval / Dussault Track, the Big Green finished with 181 points, trailing only the hosts' 210 in the standings.
In all, Dartmouth claimed first in five events on the day.
The 100m hurdles was not only one of the events where the Green picked up a victory as Abby Feeney (15.27) was first, but one in which they earned big points with Maria Garman and Mary Sieredzinski claiming third and fourth, respectively.
Additionally on the track, Jennifer Cunningham won the 800m in 2:20.62 and Grace Thompson took the top spot in the 4:41.64.
On the infield, Kaitlin McCallum was atop the pole vault standings by clearing 11-11.75/3.80m, while Kayla Gilding won the long jump with a 17-3.5/5.27m. And although she didn't win, Melissa Dunham picked up 10 points in the shot put with a 40-10.5/12.46m because the top finisher in the event was unattached.
Overall, 30 individuals finished in the scoring.
