HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's golf season concludes this weekend with the 2016 Ivy League Women's Golf Championship, which will be played at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Recently the Big Green finished fourth at the Brown Bear Match Play Tournament in Rhode Island. Dartmouth will look to end the season on a high note in the Nutmeg State after the Big Green won two regular season tournaments.
On Sept 27, Dartmouth took home the hardware finishing first at The Dartmouth Invitational. This spring the Green and White finished first in both rounds of the Seahawk Invitational on April 3rd and 4th.
As a team, Dartmouth averages 316 per round with a low round score of 294. Big Green freshman Julia Calbi has had a successful rookie season in Hanover, averaging a 77 with a low round of 71, with one victory. Sophomore Jessica Kittelberger will also be a player to watch as the Raleigh, North Carolina native has been consistent on the links for most of the season.
Dartmouth has placed in the top three in the conference championship twice, while Harvard has won six of the last eight titles. With four consecutive Ivy League titles, it will take a team effort to dethrone the Crimson as the league's top squad.
The first round of the tournament at the par-73, 6,094-yard course will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. The second round and third rounds will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m.
