PRINCETON, N.J. — Several members of the Dartmouth women's track & field team competed at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational on Friday to keep off a weekend of outdoor competition.
The top showing of the day in the non-scoring meet was Olivia Wiener taking second in the javelin with a 38.60m to her credit. Taking third in the same event was Moriah Morton with a 38.38m.
Reid Watson was third overall and the top collegiate finisher in the 5000m, crossing in 16:55.79. Helen Schlactenhaufen was fifth in the 1500m invitational race with a time of 4:34.46.
In the 3000m steeplechase, Olivia Lantz was ninth in 11:16.87.
The discus saw Melissa Dunham take third and Amelia Ali claim fifth with tosses of 42.28m and 38.93m, respectively. Ali (5th, 45.76m) and Dunham (6th, 40.86m) also competed in the hammer, along with Bridget Douglas (7th, 40.34m).
The meet continues Saturday, while other members of the Big Green will be at George Mason for its Spring Invite.
