Sean Furey '04 Advances to Javelin Final at U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Former Dartmouth standout and Ivy League Champion Sean Furey '04 advanced to the final of the javelin at the 2016 U.S. Track & Field Olympic Trials Saturday evening.
Competing at Oregon's Hayward Field, Furey was second in the qualifying round of the event with a throw of 250-2.0/76.26m on his first attempt. He would pass on his next two attempts, knowing he had secured a spot in Monday's final.
A 2012 Olympian in London, Furey will look to secure his second straight berth Olympic berth, this time to Rio, on Monday evening.
