NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Dartmouth Equestrian Team competed on Saturday at Colby Sawyer, beating out nine other schools to win the competition.

Vermont finished second, allowing the Big Green to regain the lead in the regional point standings.

Captain
Olivia Champ rode well, finishing second in Open Fences and Open Flat. Following her, freshmen
Sabrina Jain and
Tori Bergstein had strong rides in Intermediate Fences and Novice Fences, respectively, with Jain claiming third place and Bergstein second.

Later in the day, Jain added a fantastic ride in Novice Flat, winning her class. With a first- and third-place finish, Jain ended up in a ride-off, where she earned the title of Reserve High-Point Rider.

Erin McCarthy-Keeler had an impressive ride in Intermediate Flat and placed second. Seniors
Elizabeth Carroll and
Margot Putnam closed out the day with first-place ride, securing the win for Dartmouth. Carroll placed first in her Beginner Walk Trot Canter class, while Putnam finished first in Walk Trot.

With a current lead in the region, the team will continue to work hard over the week to prepare for next weekend's show at New Hampshire.
