Thrice is nice. Junior Brendan Barry shot 14-of-20 3-pointers in two games on the road to lead the men's basketball team to a 2-1 overall record on the young season. Speaking of young, freshman Mia Leko is rocketing through the pool for the Big Green. In two meets this fall she has won all three of the individual races she entered as well as being a member of the final relay that led to a win over Cornell.

Brendan Barry, Jr., Fair Haven, N.J., G, Men's Basketball
Junior Brendan Barry lit up the scoreboard from long distance over the first three games of the season, draining 14-of-20 3-pointers (70 percent) as Dartmouth began the season with a 2-1 record for the first time in five years. In the season opener, he canned 8-of-10 from the perimeter, one shy of the Big Green single-game record for trifectas. On Friday at Davidson, the guard hit 3-of-4 from deep as Dartmouth nearly pulled off a big upset on the road in a 79-76 loss. Two days later, he hit three more in six attempts to help the Green knock off Loyola Maryland in Baltimore. For the week Barry averaged 15.7 points, plus helped out his teammates by dishing out 5.3 assists per game with just four turnovers.

Mia Leko, Fr., North Branford, Conn., Free/Fly, Women's Swimming
After beginning her Dartmouth career with three individual wins in a meet against UNH, freshman Mia Leko duplicated the feat In the meet against Harvard and Cornell. The North Branford, Connecticut native won the 200 free, 200 fly and 500 free. She was also part of the final relay that won, which lifted Dartmouth over Cornell to give the Big Green their first Ivy League win since 2012.
