SEASON FINALE
The Big Green play their final match of the season on Saturday at Cornell on Berman Field at 2 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- Dartmouth fell behind 1-0 in the first half, but scored three times in the second to complete a 3-1 comeback win over Harvard last Saturday at home.
- Harvard scored first with a goal from Taylor Nielsen in the 20th minute.
- Dartmouth put the pressure on for the remainder of the half but could not tie it up before the break.
- The Big Green wasted little time evening the score, in the 50th minute Remy Borinsky and Hayley Soriano had hard shots that were both saved setting up an open look for Erin Kawakami who sent it home to make it 1-1.
- Dartmouth took the lead in the 73rd minute when Zoe Boocock sent the ball toward Borinsky who then found Izzy Glennon who found the back of the net.
- Borinsky put the icing on the cake in the 82nd minute with a long goal to complete the 3-1 victory.
IVY RECOGNITION
- For the second time this season, Remy Borinsky was named the Ivy League player of the week following her one goal, two assist night against Harvard.
- Borinsky is the first Dartmouth player to receive the award twice since Kristen Luckenbill in 1999.
- Borinsky has set career highs this season with six goals and five assists.
- Freshman Izzy Glennon was named to the weekly honor roll after picking up a goal against Harvard.
BIG GREEN STATS
- With its nine wins this season and looking for 10 this weekend, Dartmouth has secured its most wins since the 2012 season when they finished 13-4.
- The Big Green rank fourth in the Ivy League with 22 goals.
- Remy Borinsky is fifth in the conference with six goals and 17 points. She is also tied for fourth in the Ivy League with five assists.
- Tracey Mills, Izzy Glennon and Erin Kawakami are second on the team with three goals each.
- Zoe Boocock, Bonnie Shea, Zoe Enright, Alyssa Neuberger, Charlotte Esty, Chloe Conacher and Grace Rorke all have one goal for the Big Green.
- Borinsky leads the way with five assists, while Glennon, Soriano and Lorna MacFarlane each have three assists.
- Goalkeeper Mariel Gordon ranks in the top three in goals against average (.797), saves (70), save percentage (.843), shutouts (7) and saves per game (4.38).
SCOUTING CORNELL
- The Big Red are currently on a seven-game losing streak going into Saturday and have not won since their first game of the season on August, 24 when they beat St. Bonaventure, 2-1, in overtime on the road.
- Kaili Gregory leads Cornell with two goals.
- Kennedy Yearby, Evanthia Spyredes, Shelby Wray, Naomi Jaffe and Aidan Julia Reineman each have one goal.
AGAINST THE BIG RED
- Dartmouth has been successful over the years against Cornell holding a 26-9-4 all-time record.
- The Big Green went on an 18-game unbeaten streak over the Big Red from 1996 to 2013.
- Since 2014, both teams have won twice in four matches.
