ITHACA, N.Y. – Dartmouth closed the book on the 2018 campaign in the most exciting way they could have, with a double overtime game-winning goal to take down Cornell, 2-1, Saturday afternoon on Berman Field in Ithaca, New York. Junior

Â
Dartmouth (10-5-2, 4-2-1 Ivy) outshot Cornell (1-13-1, 0-7-0 Ivy) 27-4 and 12-2 on goal. The Big Green held a wide margin in corner kicks with an 11-3 advantage. "One of the toughest things to do late in the season is to come back from deficits," said head coach
Ron Rainey. "This reflects the character of the team to do it two games in a row. I am really proud of the class of 2019 and this year's team for how they played this season."
Â
Dartmouth began the game on the attack with four shots and two corner kicks over the first 25 minutes. Cornell scored on its first shot of the match in the 27th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
