CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – A second quarter run from Boston College proved to be the difference as the Eagles defeated the Big Green, 99-68. Dartmouth is now 6-6 with one non-conference game left to play, while BC finishes its non-conference schedule with an 11-2 record.

Anna Luce set a career high with 19 points on 9-12 shooting, while
Isalys Quinones finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists.
Cy Lippold dished out a game-high eight assists.

"This is the first time that we have been down like that this season, which shows the progression of this program over the last few years," said
Belle Koclanes, the Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball. "The challenge for us is to have more wins than losses at the end of non-conference so Monday's game is huge for us."

Dartmouth broke out of a slow start when Quinones received a pass from Lippold and finished in the paint to tie the game at two. Brown kept the offense going with baskets underneath including an and-one to put the Big Green up 7-5 with 6:20 to go. BC then rattled off 10 straight points as part of a 12-3 run to take a 17-10 advantage. Dartmouth quickly closed the gap as the minutes ticked down. A bucket by
Elle Louie and five consecutive points from Luce tied the game at 17 with just over a minute to go. As the seconds ticked down, Luce pulled down an offensive rebound and finished in the paint as time expired to tie the game at 21 at the end of one.

Dartmouth stayed with BC in the beginning of the second. Brown and Luce combined for six points over the first two minutes to keep the score tied at 27.
Katie Douglas checked in at the 7:59 mark and knocked down a triple 21 seconds later to give the Big Green a 30-27 advantage. The difference in the game took place between the 7:05 and the 59 second marks in the second quarter. In that time BC went on a 22-0 run where they were able to take a 19-point lead. Dartmouth scored the final two baskets in the half to cut the deficit to 14 points.

Quinones heated up in the early going of the third, getting a layup and 3-pointer to go, cutting the BC lead to 11 with 8:36 on the clock. The Eagles used another big run, this time outscoring the Big Green, 12-3, over the next five minutes to extend their lead to 20. Quinones made another triple and Luce sunk two more shots in the closing minutes, including another buzzer beater at the end of three, but BC held onto a 73-52 advantage.

Dartmouth kept the difference in score the same for most of the fourth, but BC pulled away, extending its lead to 31 by the end of the game.
Jimena Abejon sunk her first career triple with 7:09 left in the first and Luce raised her total to a career-high 19 points with 6:09 left.

Dartmouth closes its non-conference schedule at Leede arena when it takes on Binghamton at 2 p.m. on Monday.
