CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR
Dartmouth has two more games to play before wrapping up its non-conference schedule and the start of the new year. The Big Green first take on Boston College in Chestnut Hill on Saturday and then face Binghamton at home on Monday.  Â
GRANITE STATE CHAMPS
- Dartmouth took care of New Hampshire for the second straight year, defeating the Wildcats, 62-42.
- Annie McKenna's 3-pointer with 7:34 in the first put the Big Green ahead 6-5 and Dartmouth never trailed from then on.
- McKenna led the way with a career-high 21 points on 8-13 shooting and 3-5 from long distance.
- Cy Lippold was also in double figures with 11 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds.
- Paula Lenart finished with nine points and five rebounds, while Kealy Brown had five points and a game-high five steals and Anna Luce pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
- The 42 points allowed was tied for the second-fewest that Dartmouth has given up this season.
SECOND MONTH
- The Big Green have fared well in the second month of the season, going 4-2 so far and are currently winners of their last four out of five games.
- This is compared to a 2-4 month of November where Dartmouth won its first two games, but then dropped its next four.
- A big help has been the five home games in the month of December which is the most amount of games played at Leede Arena during any month this season.
SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE
- BC is off to a 10-2 record to start the first half of the season. This is the first time since 2015-16 that BC has reached double-digit victories.
- One opponent that BC and Dartmouth have both seen is Boston University. The Eagles defeated BU, 78-51, while Dartmouth beat the Terriers, 64-44.
- BC has seen one Ivy League team in Columbia and the Eagles won, 74-60.
- The two losses this season have come against Providence (61-57) and Minnesota (77-69).
- BC is averaging 79.3 ppg which is fourth in the ACC and they are allowing 58.3 ppg which is also fourth in its conference.
- The Eagles are led by Emma Guy who leads the team with 13 ppg and 7.7 ppg.
- Three others average double-figures, they are Marnelle Garraud (12.3 ppg), Makayla Dickens (10-3 ppg) and Taylor Ortlepp (10.2 ppg).
- BC brought in an all new coaching staff this season led by head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee who was previously at Albany.
LAST TIME AGAINST THE EAGLES
- Dartmouth picked up its first-ever win over Boston College and first win over an ACC team when the Big Green defeated the Eagles, 68-57, last season.
- Five members of the Big Green scored in double figures led by Cy Lippold who came away with 16 points and four assists, she shot 5-9 from the field and 2-2 from 3-point range.
- Kate Letkewicz finished with 13 points and led all players with nine rebounds.
- Emily Slagle had 12 points and four rebounds, while Olivia Smith tallied 11 points and six rebounds and Isalys Quinones finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.
- Dartmouth drained nine 3-pointers in the game, shooting 52.9% from beyond the arch.
- The Big Green shot 49% from the field and held BC to 35.4% shooting.
FIRST HALF DONE
- Monday's game against Binghamton marks the final regular season non-conference game for the Big Green.
- Dartmouth has faced a tough schedule so far with games against Middle Tennessee, San Diego, Buffalo and Boston College among others.
- The Big Green begin Ivy League play on Jan. 19 at Harvard.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
- Binghamton enters Monday's contest with a 5-7 record and have not played since Dec. 16 when they fell to No. 22 Marquette.
- One notable win for the Bearcats was a 72-61 victory over Cornell.
- The Bearcats have played a tough schedule with games against No. 2 Notre Dame along with Marquette.
- Rebecca Carmody leads the team with 13 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 2.5 apg.Other key players for the Bearcats are Kai Moon (11.1 ppg), Carly Boland (9.3 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.3 bpg) and Olivia Ramil (8.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg).
LAST TIME AGAINST THE BEARCATS
- Dartmouth and Binghamton met last season in New York and the Bearcats came away victorious with an 80-64 win.
- Olivia Smith recorded a double-double for the Big Green with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
- Paula Lenart was also in double figures with 10 points on 5-5 shooting while pulling down five rebounds.
- Isalys Quinones finished with nine points and six rebounds.
- The only returner for Binghamton that scored double digits last season is Kai Moon. She posted 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in that game.
