For the first time since Nov. 9, Dartmouth will play a game at Leede Arena when the Big Green host Boston University Wednesday at noon. Dartmouth is looking to get back in the win column for the first time since taking down Vermont on the road after a tough west coast trip.
SCHOOL DAY
Dartmouth women's basketball is hosting its annual "School Day" game. This is a field trip opportunity, including free admission, for students in grades 3-6. Pregame, students will hear from Dartmouth staff members and student-athletes about the importance of healthy eating habits, physical activity, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship.
CLOSE CALL IN SAN DIEGO
- Myah Pace made a driving layup with two seconds left in regulation to down the Big Green, 78-76, at the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego Saturday.
- Like they have all season, Dartmouth got off to a fast start and found themselves ahead 13-2 in the first three minutes of the game, thanks to eight early points by Isalys Quinones.
- The Big Green led 23-14 at the end of the first, USD closed the gap and tied the game at 39 at halftime.
- The second half was evenly matched and USD came out on top in the closing seconds.
- Isalys Quinones played in her home town and finished with 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Big Green.
- Cy Lippold recorded her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 assists.
- Annie McKenna was in double figures with 14 points and Kealy Brown came away with 13 points.
- Elle Louie was all over the court with five rebounds, five steals, four points and two blocks.
- Dartmouth shot 50% from the floor on 31-62 shooting.
WEST COAST IN REVIEW
- Dartmouth was in each of its four contests in Las Vegas and California.
- During those four games, Quinones led the team with 13.8 ppg and was tied for the team lead with 6.8 rpg.
- Lippold was second on the team with 10.3 ppg and 6.2 apg.
- Kealy Brown averaged 9.3 ppg and 3.0 rpg, while Annie McKenna scored 8.5 ppg and Paula Lenart averaged 8.0 ppg and 6.8 rpg.
BIG GREEN STATS
- Quinones ranks sixth in the Ivy League with 14.5 ppg and fifth with 7.7 rpg. She is also tied for the team lead with five blocked shots
- Anna Luce made her return from injury against San Diego and picked up where she left off. Luce is second on the team with 10.7 ppg and pulls down 5.3 rpg, she leads the team with a .667 shooting percentage.
- McKenna is third on the team with 8.7 ppg and is fifth in the Ivy League with 3.7 apg.
- Cy Lippold is second in the conference with 5.0 apg to go along with her 8.3 ppg.
- Kealy Brown has gotten her scoring up to 7.7 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
- Paula Lenart has been steady with 5.7 ppg and 6.0 rpg.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
- BU comes into Wednesday's contest on a four-game winning streak with victories over Marist, Bryant, New Hampshire and Delaware. They also took down Brown in their second game of the season.
- Four players are averaging double figures in points for the Terriers led by Nia Irving (13.7), Payton Hauck (11.3), Lauren Spearman (10.8) and Katie Nelson (10.2).
- BU is scoring 63.2 ppg as a team and is holding opponents to 60.8 ppg.
LAST TIME AGAINST BOSTON UNIVERSITY
- The last time that these two teams met was in December of 2016 and Dartmouth came away with a 61-49 victory at BU.
- Kate Letkewicz finished with a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
- Isalys Quinones was the next leading scorer with 14 points and five rebounds as a sophomore.
ALL TIME SERIES
- Dating back to 1979, BU holds a 12-9 record over Dartmouth.
- The Big Green are 4-6 at home against the Terriers with their last home victory coming in 2015 where Dartmouth won, 72-52.
