HANOVER, N.H. – Playing on its home court for the first time in nearly a month, the Dartmouth women's basketball team used Leede Arena to its advantage and the energy from a packed School Day crowd to bury Boston University, 64-44, Wednesday afternoon. Dartmouth scored 28 points in the paint and outscored the Terriers, 17-6, on second chance points.
Dartmouth improves to 3-4 on the season and 2-0 on its home court. The Terriers fall to 4-3 on the year.

Paula Lenart recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while
Isalys Quinones led the team in scoring with 15 points to along with seven rebounds.
Kealy Brown scored in double figures for the third straight game with 13 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Annie McKenna posted nine points and led the team with six assists, while
Cy Lippold also came away with nine points and
Elle Louie led the game with 12 rebounds. Â

"It's great to be home and we learned a lot of lessons on the road trip coming down to the wire each game," said
Belle Koclanes, the Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball. "We had a positive conversation about everyone's roles and we went out and executed better today. We established the paint early which opened up our three-point shooting.
Kealy Brown was unbelievable today, P showed improvement with her jump-stop, which is what she has been working on, Ice was strong in all aspects and Elle was a spark for us off the bench. We are grateful for all the kids and teachers that came out today and showed their support." Â Â Â Â

Dartmouth won the opening tip and Brown put the Big Green on the board first with a three from the top of the key. BU answered back with a three, and both teams traded layups to even the score at five in the first two minutes. Lenart began put a gap between Dartmouth and BU with a layup that was followed by two free throws from Quinones and a jumper by McKenna to boost the Big Green to an 11-5 advantage with 4:33 left in the quarter. BU used a 7-2 run over the next two minutes to make it just a 13-12 lead for Dartmouth. Quinones scored five points in a 7-2 Big Green run of their own to finish the first with a 20-15 lead.

BU quickly tied the game at 20 in the early going of the second quarter. Lenart sparked the offense with an and-one and Lippold hit a triple to extend the Dartmouth lead to 26-20. The Terriers hung around for the next few minutes, but Brown and Quinones hit back-to-back shots to bring the advantage to 32-24 with 2:32 remaining in the half. Dartmouth would stay ahead by eight until halftime, only allowing one basket in the final two minutes of the second quarter.

Lippold opened the third with a corner three to give the Big Green an 11-point advantage. BU cut it to seven, but another triple by McKenna and a layup from Lenart kept the Dartmouth lead in double figures. Defense stayed tough for the rest of the quarter as both teams traded baskets. The Big Green did not allow BU to make up any ground as they took a 47-39 lead into the fourth.

After
Anna Luce hit a jumper to begin the fourth, Lippold and Brown nailed consecutive three balls to push the Dartmouth lead to 55-39. Dartmouth continued that energy down the stretch as the Big Green outscored the Terriers, 17-5, in the final quarter of play.
Dartmouth plays its second of four straight home games on Sunday when they host Fairfield at 2 p.m. at Leede Arena. Â
