Dartmouth hosts Fairfield on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Hanover at Leede Arena. The Stags are a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Sunday marks just the second meeting in program history between the teams.
HOME COOKIN'
- The Big Green returned to their home court after an 11-day road trip where they went 0-4 and got back in the win column with a 64-44 win over Boston University.
- Kealy Brown hit a three to get the game started and Dartmouth never trailed from then on out.
- Dartmouth led 20-15 at the end of the first and extended its lead to 34-26 at halftime. The Big Green maintained that lead in the third and ran away in the fourth, outscoring the Terriers 17-5 in the final 10 minutes.
- Paula Lenart finished with a 14-point, 10 rebounds double-double, tying her career high in points.
- Isalys Quinones led the team with 15 points and pulled down seven boards. It was the sixth game this season that Quinones was in double figures.
- Kealy Brown scored in double digits for the third straight game with 13 points, she also dished out a career high six assists.
- Cy Lippold and Annie McKenna each finished with nine points. McKenna led the team with six assists.
- Elle Louie proved once again to be the spark off the bench, the sophomore set a career high and led all players with 12 rebounds.
- Dartmouth scored 28 points in the paint and outrebounded BU, 45-28, leading to 17 second chance points for the Big Green.
SOPHOMORE IMPACT
- After seeing limited playing time as freshmen last season, Anna Luce and Elle Louie have turned into the top players off the bench for the Big Green.
- Luce is third on the team with 8.5 ppg and fourth with 4.0 rpg. She leads the Big Green with a .625 shooting percentage.
- Louie does all of the little things for Dartmouth. She has appeared in all seven games and leads the team with 10 steals, is second with three blocks and is third on the team in rebounding with 4.7 per game.
CLOSE TO HOME
- Dartmouth is 3-0 this season when playing in New England. They defeated Loyola at home (54-41) Vermont on the road (66-42) and most recently BU at home (64-44).
- During those three games, defense has been key. The Big Green are holding opponents to 42.3 ppg.
- The Big Green are outscoring opponents by 19, have a +11 rebound margin and are shooting 41% while holding opponents to 29% when they play on the east coast.
BIG GREEN STATS
- Quinones is the only member of the Big Green averaging double figures with 14.6 which is sixth in the Ivy League. She is also fifth in the conference with 7.6 rpg.
- McKenna has moved into second on the team with 8.7 ppg and is fifth in the Ivy League with 4.0 apg.
- Cy Lippold is second in the conference with 4.4 apg to go along with her 8.4 ppg.
- Kealy Brown has found her shooting stroke and is now scoring 8.4 ppg with 3.9 rpg.
- Paula Lenart continues to be consistent with 6.9 ppg and 6.6 rpg.
SCOUTING THE STAGS
- After starting the season 2-0 with wins over Richmond and LIU Brooklyn, Fairfield has gone on a six-game losing streak to fall to 2-6.
- Scoring has been a struggle for the Stags, who have not scored over 54 points during this losing streak.
- Two players average in double figures for Fairfield. They are led by Katie Armstrong (12.5 ppg) and Khadidiatou Diouf (12.0 ppg). Diouf also leads the team in rebounding (5.8 rpg).
- Fairfield averages 52.5 ppg and they are giving up 56.7 ppg.
LAST TIME AGAINST FAIRFIELD
- Dartmouth and Fairfield have only met once before in program history.
- The game took place in November of 2004 and the Big Green came away with a 68-63 victory.
- Four players scored in double figures in that game for the Big Green led by Jeannie Cullen who finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
- Ashley Taylor had 15 points and nine boards, while Angie Soriaga tallied 13 points, six rebounds and seven assists and Elise Morrison had 10 points and nine rebounds.
- Janelle McManus led Fairfield with 25 points, while Stephanie Ryan had 14 points and seven rebounds.
