HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's hockey team will continue its annual toy drive for the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) during Friday's home game against New Hampshire (7 p.m.).
Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation that will be collected by members of the team on the concourse prior to as well as during the early stages of the game against the Wildcats. Friday's game will also mark Youth Hockey Night in which any fan eighth grade or younger will get through the doors for just $2 with advanced purchase. The first 100 kids in attendance will also receive a Dartmouth holiday winter hat.
As has become tradition, donations of new, unwrapped toys will be delivered to the hospital by the members of the team, unpacked and handed out to children. One of the most memorable days of the year, this annual event is dependent largely on the generosity of fans.
CHaD has provided a list of items they are looking for and are often requested by patients. It moves away from the idea of just providing toys to those in their care, but items that serve a purpose on a daily basis or can engage better than traditional toys.

Staff members have also expressed a need for items to be used in their wrapping station such as: wrapping paper, tissue paper, bows, gift bags and tags.
These are suggestions from those who work with the kids on a daily basis. However, traditional toys are also still a very welcomed donation that will be collected by members of the team on the concourse throughout the evening.
